Bungy Jumping:Real Adventure in life

It was first time taking decision to do such adventurous event in my life. We (Shashish, Sujata and Me) were just walking around the Kumari Cinema Hall searching for Japanese language institute. First we went to Reukai Building and then went for watching 4-D movie in city center. It was nice to see such movie in nepal. The movie 'Insectopia' was too short i.e., only 15 minutes. We enjoyed a lot watching the 4-D movie, the film with length, breath, high and also motion.


On the way back from Center, We were discussing about Bungy and immediately Sujata called Mrs Mala and we planned to go for jump on saturday (2009, Aug 9). We all agreed to jump and went to book ticket at thamel. At the moment, we called some of frens to join with us and Rajib Maharjan and Manjil Man Singh agreed to go with us. Then we booked it and went for Coffee at Himalayan Java.


At night, I was thinking about the jump we planned and paid for nextday. Next day, we reached Thamel at 6 am, where almost 40-50 jumpers both nepali and foreigners were ready to go for jump. On the way to reach Tha Last Resort, we all were talking about the jump. I was not that much confident to jump from bridge because I had no experiences on it. While seeing previous jumpers, I became confident to jump. But, at the last moment of jump while standing at edge to the bridge, i lost all my memory and confidence and forgot all bungy tips that masters told us previously. I did lishen only 1,2,3....(the voice to Bungy Masters)..and then I didn't know what i had done. I saw all those events in video recorded by one of the Bungy team.


Finally we had done it though we were not confident to jump. Its a part of life. I really enjoyed that jump. I would like to jump it again in my life. Most probably in coming dasain, I am planning to jump it again.

Community Based Tourism in Sirubari

Sirubari village is a totally Gurung village in Syanja district. It is a short drive and walk from Pokhara, one of the tourist hubs in Nepal. The community welcomed and invited to stay in their homes as a home-stay in the village families. The visitors can enjoy with gurung culture and living styles. The accommodation is simple but comfortable with good bedding and clean toilet facilities. The food is delicious and visitors can enjoy as a family member at the time of eating.
