Intro


This is Shree Kumar Maharjan (Ph.D.) from Kirtipur-5, Kathmandu, Nepal. I am an agriculture graduate from the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Tribhuvan Univesity, Nepal. I have completed a Ph.D. in International Cooperation Studies from the Graduate School of International Development and Cooperation (IDEC), Hiroshima University, Japan. 

I have been working as a development professional in multiple organizations from local to national and international levels. I had worked as the Section Head of Thematic Programmes/Deputy Secretary-General in Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP) based in Chiang Mai Thailand, also as a Team Leader in the Local Adaptation Plan of Action (LAPA) pilot Project in Resource Identification and Management Society (RIMS Nepal). Previously, I worked as a Programme Officer in the Western Terai Landscape Complex Project (WTLCP)-Agrobiodiversity Component in Dhangadhi under Local Initiatives for Biodiversity Research and Development (LI-BIRD). I have gained professional experiences from Wildlife Watch Group, Natural Resource Development Center (NRDC) as Programme Officer and Coordinator respectively.

Currently, I am a Freelance Researcher and Development Expert, contributing to research and development sectors particularly for the indigenous peoples, local communities, and persons with disabilities. I am also serving National Indigenous Disabled Women Association Nepal (NIDWAN) as an advisory member. I have published some articles to my credit related to agriculture, climate change, tourism, conservation ecology, youth issues, etc.
